2024 Fall EHYS Recreational In Town Programs
Micros Program - Players born in 2019-2021 (Fee - $75)
A clinic program designed for young children being introduced to the game.
This program is a normally 8 weeks with a program that mixes a repetitive program and games which helps younger children with confidence and learning. Expected start around the beginning of September.
Sessions
-Coed
-Led by Professional Trainers Saturdays at Gillis Field (Talmadge Park)
-Times 9-9:45am 10-10:45am - younger players will be earlier, older players later - determined based on mix of enrollment
-Eight (8) (as weather permits - EHYS plans for 10-11 weeks of available weeks)
-45 minute sessions total
-Players are broken into smaller groups for various games (obstacle course, simon says, mother may I, clear the forest) for the first half followed by Small Sided Games (3v3, 4v4) for the older kids to encourage more touches on the ball and more FUN.
-Equipment
-Supplied: shirt (distributed to players to keep), soccer balls for each session
-Required: shin guards under socks
-optional: cleats (EHYS has a bin we keep of donated cleats for players to take if they need them).
We need Parent Volunteers to help manage weekly sessions.
Parents are not expected to run the practice but help the trainers throughout the session.
In-House League - Players born in 2015-2018 (Fee $125)
Specifically designed to introduce the game to U7-U10 players. (U9/U10 players can alternatively play travel which is a different registration program - only register in one program)
We need Parent Volunteers to help manage weekly sessions.
Parents are not expected to run the practice but help the trainers throughout the session.
Expected start near the end of August
Sessions
-boys and girls split in different groups as number allows
-2017/2018 Boys will train on tues 5:30-6:30, Girls on thurs 5:30-6:30
-2015/2016 Girls will train on tues/thurs 6:30-7:30
- led by Professional Trainer with parent coaches.
- 2017/2018 Players can train with either group if they have availability conflicts.
-Games on Saturday Mornings/Early afternoon with possible weeknight games at the scheduled practice times - run by parent coaches and Victory coaches with oversight as needed.
-Times 9am-2pm normally
-Eight (8) games
-Small Sided Games (4v4/5v5) to encourage more touches on the ball and more FUN.
Teams:
-Volunteer Team Parent with Victory oversite
-5-10 Players (the smaller the teams the more fun for the kids)
Equipment Supplied:
-shirt (distributed to players)
Required: shin guards covered by socks, size 3 BALL for U8 and younger, size 4 for U9/U10 (league has soccer balls for players that dont have them/forget them).
Highly Encouraged: Soccer cleats (EHYS has a bin we keep of donated cleats for players to take if they need them).
Please note: EHYS. does not guarantee a specific amount of practices. Weather can be a factor and make-up practices are not guaranteed.
2024 Fall EHYS Travel Soccer Program (2010-2016)
East Haven Youth Soccer Travel program is for players turning 9-15 in 2025 that are not playing soccer for a High School.
U9 and U10 players can alternatively play in-house league instead (a different registration program).
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches/managers/assistant coaches.
FEE = $150 (Full Uniform (Shorts/Socks/Jersey - if not already purchased in previous seasons is $41 additional)
Practices:
-Week Night -2 Evenings by Professional/Parent coaches
U14 Girls - Mon/Wed at East Haven Middle School - 5:30-7:30
U10 Boys - Mon/Wed at Gillis Field 5:30 -7:00
U12 Boys - Mon/Wed at Gillis Field 5:30-7:00
U15 Boys Tues/Thurs at East Haven Middle School 5:30-7:30
U11 Girls - Mon/Wed at Gillis Field 5:30 - 7:00
Games:
Saturdays/Sundays at EHYS Home Fields and other South Central District teams Home Fields
Equipment:
-Uniform: Full Uniforms Required and can be used for MULTIPLE SEASONS. Ordered as part of the Registration Process if players don't have them from previous seasons.
-Required: shin guards, cleats, soccer ball - size 4 for U12 and under teams size 5 for U13 and older teams
Late Fee: $25 for registrations after August 15th
